THOUGHT SHOWERING (BRAINSTORMING)
THOUGHT SHOWERING (BRAINSTORMING)
After having defined the problem, the precise aspect which is making you feel bad, you go to the second stage which is brainstorming. Brain storm is defined as a violent or excited outburst as a result of a sudden mental disturbance so many people consider the term ‘Thought Showering’ to be politically correct. Therefore, this process is an intellectual treatment of a problem by discussing spontaneous ideas about it.
Solving a problem could be easier if there are many ideas about solutions. You and your team members use imagination and creativity to generate as many solutions as possible. At this point, think about quantity and not quality, in other words, let your imagination go. Do not reject any ideas because they seem odd or extraordinary. If you are overflowing with ideas or suggestions, it may be better to note them on a paper
Think differently: If you do not have the benefit of other people helping you to solve the problem, the second stage of problem solving through brainstorming is to think like a person you admire or even despise, but one who is or was good at solving problems. You talk and think as if you are that person. This would help you to get another list of possible solutions.
The third stage of this method is just like the steps discussed in Problem Solving, that is to narrow down your choice of solutions to two or three that would work best, are practicable and best meet your needs. The fourth stage would be to implement the options you have decided have the best chance of succeeding, if put onto practice.
Thought showering is particularly useful for those who find that they cannot think of any solutions to their problem, or feeling too bleak to be creative about thinking of solving the problem confronting them.

Share your problems and fears with your team or friends. Social relationships can often support you during stressful times, reducing the damaging effects that the condition can have on the brain. You can involve your team or friends in this intellectual activity and solve the problem collectively.
