80/20 – You Keep Hearing It – But What Are You Doing About It?

Some of the 80/20

80 percent of the work is done by 20 percent of your staff.
That means that you pay 80 percent of your wages to accomplish 20 percent of the work, and 20 percent of your wages to accomplish 80 percent of the work.

80 percent of your success comes from 20 percent of your effort.
That means that you are spending 80 percent of your time doing things that only help you get 20 percent better.

80 percent of your sales comes from 20 percent of your customers.

80 percent of the energy in your body comes from 20 percent of the food you eat.
Which means that 80 percent of the food you eat only produces 20 percent of your energy.

Thus, the key to success in all you do is very simply. We just need to find the 20 percent effort in all things that is producing 80 percent of the results, and duplicate it. Yet, if it really is that simply, then why are we not all doing it? Why are we all not duplicating the 20 percent that creates all the success. For if we did, we would be tremendously successful.

Young entrepreneurs Young entrepreneurs - Hearing about that 14 year old is very encouraging. You have to figure if a 14 year old can do it...well, you get my drift. Sometimes though, I wonder if sheer luck has more to do with it and just happened into the equation. I would love to know more about that 14 year olds success story and how this took off in just 3 years to the point where it is now. Especially when you hear about a story of a kid suddenly becoming a millionnaire. Is it something she went with because she knew what she was doing, knew how to grow a business and knew her concept would te off, or is it something she happened to try, not really knowing too much about it and the concept just took off?
Quick Introduction - I'm Matt from the Southern US Quick Introduction - I'm Matt from the Southern US - Hi everyone! I'm a cash flow and finance consultant for small businesses. Very much looking forward to hearing everyone's business ideas and discussions. Hearing new perspectives from other business people is always so invigorating. As the subject line mentioned, I'm in the Southern US. To all of you in colder climes with all of that snow, I really feel for you right about now. Hope cabin fever doesn't set in too quickly. We've had nothing but rain here... my poor dog is going to develop webbed feet soon if the rain doesn't stop. Anyhoo, cheers to all. Look forward to meeting you. - Matt W.
