Consistency results in success

The golfer was having a really bad day on the course.

By the 14th hole, he's missed one putt too many, and he let loose with a string of profanities, grabbed his putter, and stormed off toward the lake by the 15th tee.

"Uh-oh," says his caddie to one of his playing partners, "There goes that club."

"You think so?" said the other golfer. "I've got five bucks says he misses the water"

Charlotte Bronte said, "Consistency, madam, is the first of Christian duties". Consistency is the most important aspect of most anything you want to do in life. Without it, you will little chance for success.

So, how consistent are you in your business, life and career?

Do you understand the success and results you can achieve by being consistent?

Understand that the sales rep who consistently makes one hour of cold calls on the phone, day in and day out will get some business. It is a fact of life. Even through most people give up, or worst, they think they are making cold calls by doing them when they feel like it. The rep who does it consistently will have success. Even if the rep has a terrible list, is not that good on the phone, does not know that much about the product/service. The fact of being consistent, will create success.

Ever notice what happens in your life when you make that commitment and start to do things consistently? Ever notice how after a while it creates success for you?

The entrepreneur who wants to build a powerful email list and starts adding 50 names a day to the list, and does it day in and day out, will create a powerful email list. It may take some time. The list might not have all great contacts on it. But the consistency of adding 50 names a day, each and every day to the list, will create success.

On the financial side, the consistency of putting $25 a week into an account, week in and week out over many years will result in a great deal of money in your savings some day. You may not invest it in the right things, you might not invest as much of your money as people think you should. But the consistency will create success.

So today I want you to look at the things in your life. Find one thing and start doing it consistently. Don't try and do everything at once. Just start with one thing and start doing it consistently over the next few weeks and months and watch what happens.

They tell me it takes 21 days to form a habit. It takes a great deal longer to develop consistency and make it part of your life.

But if you can do this you will be amazed at what happens.

Start with one thing, then add as you go along.

Consistency results in success - plain and simple.

Years ago I was so proud to say that I could 'sell' to anyone in any industry. Over time I realized that certain industries were much more lucrative in terms of commissions and order quantity. I think the same idea definitely exists in internet advertising - if you are looking to one or two single sources of online marketing, you aren't seeing the whole picture. Keep with it, and try and make some kind of consistant effort.[/quote:1g6hv9hl] Yes, that's the best approach. While it's important to learn and understand one strategy at a time, it's also just important to broaden your efforts. Let's face it, we can't all be masters at any one strategy. It's best to diversify and make the most of our marketing efforts and reach the widest range of people as possible. Consistency is the key. Keep at it everyday, and you'll see results.

If you try too many things at once you will end up getting nowhere with any one of them. A nice balance is key.
Tipping Point Tipping Point - My guess on Pet Rock is it may be something that resulted out of spin off idea. Not sure if someone thought about it to begin with or it maybe something it ended up being that way -- I am interested to know about it because it's certainly against all odds type of success based on what the product really does to benefit the end user. So I'll bring up a point here -- is it the product that brings Most/Least profitability or is it really the way someone markets a product? For example, in Network Marketing industry, you see these "innovative products" pushed around all the time while if the product itself is what really sells, it should be put on the major retail store shelves sold with major press conference campaign. But it comes down to the individual ability to market the same product that results in sales record while dealing with the same market, same comp plan etc. So I can say that even an average product can really bring great results [i:1mu1wz0v]if marketed right [/i:1mu1wz0v]and that's where I'd like to see businesses focus most -- selling the same product, same market, same idea, same price, some profit better while others fail --- why some can do better than others and how can we all replicate the type of success? And if someone knows a "connector" that can take one idea to another that will bring great results, whoever marketing the product or service can serve as its tipping point -- if this paragraph can add to what Martin is brining up.
Anything Will Do.. Anything Will Do.. - ...well, not quite anything. Personally, I like to see metappletonhors in my daily work and link what I experience to the blog topic. For example, I have a management blog. In it I might write about how today when I was out walking, I saw grass that had spilt our across the pavement where it hadn't been looked after. My link then is to how things can get out of control in a business you manage when you take you eye off things for a while - then it becomes a big job. Then I spin a bit more out of that. If I wanted to be very business focused, I would sign up to some specific RSS feeds inbound, using something like Feedreader to send me pressreleases, other people's news so that I don't have to hunt for it etc. Consistency of posting and varied, interesting thought provoking posts are what keeps a blog alive. Results based partnerships Results based partnerships - Sorry to hear about your situation Garth. Has anybody had success with results based partnership? So the person coming on has to earn their equity % instead of just getting it right away? Also, having the shotgun clause is pretty typical where you can easily buy out your partners.
