How well do you know your product/service?

How prepared are you to face the prospect?

Arthur Goldberg – Secretary of Labor to

JFK never got within 100 feet of the president

without all his documents in order and fully

prepared to answer any reasonable question.

“The will to succeed is important, but what's

more important is the will to prepare.”

Bobby Knight

How much to you practice your selling process?

The Duke of Wellington in preparation for

his battle with Napoleon fought the battle

with pins and strings and matches on a map

of Europe long before the actual battle took place.

So how prepared are you?

How well do you know your product or service?

How much do you practice?

Seem like elementary questions – right?

I mean outstanding athletes practice.

Outstanding actors practice. And trust me

on this one, so do outstanding sales people.

This should be a “no brainer”, yet is it?

Three things for you to take with you today.

We are all sales people. There are things

each of us has to sell. So learn the process.

1) Do you know the 50 top objections

to someone buying your product, your service

or you? Further for each of those objections,

can you fire back a great answer, quickly,

automatically, like you know it cold?

This week begin that list of the 50 and the

answers to them. Start memorizing them.

Start making them part of your toolbox.

Never, never let a prospective buyer have

an objection that you don't know how to handle.

2) Do you know the 50 top questions

people will ask about your product, service

or you? Further for each of them, can

you fire back a great answer, quickly,

automatically, like you know it cold.

Again, this week begin that list of the 50

and answers to them. Start memorizing

them. Start making them part of your

toolbox. Never, or at least very rarely should

a prospective buyer have a question you

cannot answer. Further, if one comes up,

know where to get the answer, immediately.

In today's world of technology – I will get

back to you just doesn't work.

3. Do you practice your selling every day.

If you don't, start today. In front of a mirror.

In the car while waiting. Tape it, listen to the

voice. Video it, watch it. Listen, watch and

learn and then adjust. You want to be

outstanding, then you need to practice.

Simple fact is that doing the above will

increase your business. Doing the above

can actually double your business in a small

time frame. Doing the above will make you

so much for successful.

As Larry Bird the great basketball player said,

“if you don't do your homework, you won't

make your free throws”.

If you don't make your free throws, you

won't win the game. Start today.
