Strengthen Your Strengthens and Watch What Happens to Your Life
If you are good at something, then
you need to spend your time getting
better and better at it.
If you are not good at something, you
need to find another way to get it
done.
No, this is not running away from
what is important.
What it is, is:
-
Using the gifts you have been
given.
-
Getting better and better at what
you
do well.
-
Moving your life, business,
career,
family to outstanding.
You cannot get to outstanding if you spend
your time getting better at what you suck
at. Don't argue about it. It is a simple fact.
If you spend your time getting great at
what you already do well, you will become
outstanding, period.
If outstanding is what you want to
accomplish in your life, then you need to
understand what this means and you need
to apply it to all you do.
If you are great at sales, then you need
to sell, sell and sell some more.
You need to study and learn and practice
and get better and better.
This will take you and your business and
your life to outstanding.
If you are not good at sales, then you are
still responsible, but you need to use your
energy to find another way to get it done.
If you are great at numbers, then you
need to work the numbers.
You need to study, learn, understand
tools and processes and get better and
better.
This will take you and your business
and your life to outstanding.
If you are not good at numbers, then
you are still responsible, but you need
to use your energy to find another
way to get it done.
This applies to all the things you have
to do in life and business and family.
Bottom line is those who apply this
process will get to outstanding.
Those who do not apply this will
spend to much time, energy and effort
trying to get better at what they don't
do well. Then they will get a little
better, but never that good.
Remember, outstanding is where all
the rewards are.
Outstanding is just a few steps ahead
of excellent.
But the rewards at outstanding are 10
fold what they are at excellent.
Where do you want to be.
Today, take a piece of paper, draw a
line down the middle,
Left side, strengths, what you do well.
Right side, weaknesses, what you
don't do well.
Then select the top item on each side.
For the strength item, determine how
you can get better and stronger and be
more successful at doing this? Don't
settle for where you are. It is your
strength. You need to get better and
better at it.
For the weakness item, determine
how you can get this done without
doing it yourself? Don't just keep
doing it. Find another way. Yes you
can. Now go and find that other way
to get it done.
Once you have the first one done,
then go on to the next one on each list.
Do this and watch what happens to
you, your life and your business.
Don't argue with me, just do it.
This weeks key to success:
Strengthen your strengths and
outsource your weaknesses.
