Too many times we are so busy with the day to day, with what we think we need to be doing, with the unimportant. So busy that we miss the greatest opportunities of our lives.

The opportunities are here - what are you doing with them?
Opportunities are here for all of us.
Some take advantage of them, some
don't.
But as the old Cuban proverb says,
“When the sun rises, it rises for everyone.”
What are you doing with the
opportunities that comes across you path in life?
Are you grabbing them or just letting
them fly on by?
Too many times we are so busy with the
day to day, with what we think we need to be doing, with the
unimportant. So busy that we miss the greatest opportunities of our
lives.
Today and everyday moving forward, I
want you to start opening your eyes, your mind and yourself to what
is around you. If you feel like you are not getting the
opportunities, then I believe you better look at your radar.
The opportunities come by us all.
Some look.
Some watch.
Some grab.
What are you doing with the
opportunities that come across you life each and every day.
Are you watching them as they fly by?
Or are you grabbing them and making
things happen in your life.
Helen Keller put it very simply when
she said, “When one door of opportunity closes, another opens; but
often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one
which has been opened for us.”
During the past 3 years I have seen and
heard a great deal of whining from people about how bad it was, how
bad things were going, how bad it is still going to get.
Yet, I know of people going into
business and doing very well.
Yet, I know of companies growing and
expanding.
Yet, I see people doing very well in
their lives and believing this is the best time ever.
Why?
Because they have been grabbing the
opportunities that have come to them and made things happen.
When there is a drought – there is
opportunity in supplying water.
Stop talking about the drought and
start looking for the opportunities to fill the need people have.
Those that find the way to fill the need for water will be
successful. Those who talk about the problem, will become customers
and pay for water.
When the price of real estate is
dropping – there is opportunity in buying property.
Yes there are ways to do it. Yes, I do
know real estate people who are doing well. Stop focusing on the
dropping price of property and start focusing on how you can find
money to take advantage of it. Look for the opportunities to do very
well. Those who buy now will be ready to sell later and make money.
Those who do not buy now, will have to pay much higher prices.
When you lose your job, you need to
look at what opportunities it has opened for you. Many people lose a
job they really hated in the first place. There is so much chance
for learning and doing something new. The whole world has opened up
for you and you focus on the problem instead of the opportunity. You
may just find a great new career, while others are still stuck.
One of the greatest opportunities right
now is the high price of gas. Most people are whining about it. But
I can guarantee you that there are people looking at the
opportunities it has created. Where are you?
Change you focus.
Open yourself up and start taking
advantage of the opportunities that come your way each day. Yes,
they do come, you just haven't been listening.
Remember this simple Arabic proverb:
“The dawn does not come twice to
awaken a man.”

I have been thinking of relocating to UK until paypal gave us the green light. Now I am enjoying the services here in South Africa

I appreciate and use "tried and true" techniques etc - but the business and the promotional world is being offered many new opportunities each day and especially if you use the internet. So, keeping an open mind to these new opportunities seems necessary.

Guy Kawasaki's Angel Advice
- Here are some words of advice that Guy Kawasaki, one of Evan's expert authors, gave in an interview awhile back about seeking out angels:
"Some angel investors are members of angel groups, allowing them to increase their access to investment opportunities and giving them the possibility of investing jointly with other angels to hedge their risk. Tapping into these networks is one way to start looking for investors. Also make use of your personal network -- especially your professional advisors. Your network may well be able to suggest potential angels.
In looking for angels to target, don't forget that choosing an angel investor is a great opportunity to gain an advisor. So do your research. The best investor for your start-up will be the one who can contribute significant experience, knowledge, and networking opportunities, as well as the cash you need to grow your business."
