Life is full of highs and lows, some people experience life like a gentle merry-go-round. While for mostof us it is like the Big Dipper, full of ups and downs and a constant apprehension of what lies around the next corner. If you are currently going through a challenging period of your life right now then follow the steps below to help you refocus and stay positive.
* Assess your current situation - State clearly what the current situation/ challenge you are facing right now (write it down – it normally helps)? What is involved? Who is involved? What impact are they having (positive/ negative terms)? Why is it currently a challenging time?
* Is there an overall objective to your current situation? Revisit your goal and re-establish how it will feel once the goal has been obtained. What does it mean to you?
* List in positive terms what you have learnt as a result of experiencing this current situation you have clarified above?
* Assess what changes you can make going forward, which will improve your current situation. It can be a practical action or the way you think about things?
* Now I want you to dig a little deeper and find that courage that lies within, I want you to pick yourself up dust yourself down and face the situation head on. Usually clients experiencing emotional, physical and mental challenges always submerge with personal strength and wisdom. An ability to positively reflect on the situation with a sense of purpose and satisfaction that they have achieved desired results.
