Follow the 3 Cs to achieve long term goals - Click To Read Article
I tell my clients all the time how much I admire what they are doing and the risks they are willing to take. They are all seeking something specific in the process of working with a life coach and very few realize the transformation that is ahead for them. We all go through life overcoming obstacles and hurdles along the way. The key however to surpassing these hurdles and making life changes for good lies in the three C's; commitment, consistency and courage.
Cut yourself some slack - Click To Read Article
How many of you feel that you have so many different responsibilities in your life, that you cannot possibly make it all work. You may be focusing on work obligations while trying to keep your household up and running. All of this running around creates a feeling of hopelessness. I have seen it countless times with clients that try to do it all with enormous to-do lists, and in the end they feel like a failure. Sometimes I just need to remind them of the larger picture. When all is said and done, do you really think anyone is going to care that your home is spotless? Rather, what they will remember is how they felt in your presence, the memories you shared.
Never stop challenging yourself~ - Click To Read Article
How often do you really challenge yourself? This could be in your career, personal challenges, physical challenges, or any combination. For those of you that have been reading my tips for some time, you remember that I was persuaded by a good friend to sign up for a triathlon last summer. I loved the experience and was very proud of my commitment to the process. Well, this same friend just asked me if I would be interested in signing up for the MS150 with her. This event takes place in June and consists of riding my bike for 150 miles over two days. This would be a huge undertaking in which I would push and train myself harder than I ever have before.

Are you happy where you are career wise? Do you genuinely enjoy the work you do? Many people express their unhappiness at their current job, but very little spend the time researching why. Do you enjoy what you do but maybe not the environment or people you surround yourself by? Or, do you wake up day in and out dreading the day and work ahead? Once you determine the source of your unhappiness you can create a plan to move forward.
Empower yourself by the choices you make - Click To Read Article
Every single day we are bombarded by choices we need to make. Ultimately, our lives are defined by these choices. What should you eat? Should you go to the gym? Should you ask for that promotion? This process can be empowering, or on the flip side it can be stress inducing. You may feel empowered because you took control of your choices and their potential outcomes. On the flip side you may feel anxiety because you don't want to take responsibility for the potential results of your decisions. As a result of your anxiety you allow others to make these decisions for you.
Enjoy your life more! - Click To Read Article
People are busier than ever between work, family, activities and volunteering to help others. Now add your blackberry, pager, internet, and other tech savvy gadgets. I once worked with a woman that was so busy with her life that she wasn't enjoying her life. She thought everything she had going on was so important, that keeping her cell phone attached to her hip every hour of the day was a necessity. She got caught up in the rat race of everything and needed some help taking a break and getting refocused. Do any of you feel like your days just blend together with a lack of direction or purpose?

Give up excuses! - Click To Read Article
So, we all have excuses in life that we fall back on time and time again. Maybe because of difficult upbringings, or hardships, certain beliefs have laid their imprint on you. Excuses keep you from venturing forward, in that they keep you safe from possible heartbreak. Having an excuse excuses you from facing the truth, while keeping you in your comfort zone.
