How to Affirm Peace and Life Balance

Written by: Marcie Hunt

Article Overview: "It's really the space between the notes that makes the music you enjoy so much. Without the space, all you would have is one continual noisy note. Everything that is created comes out of silence. Your thoughts emerge from the nothingness of silence. Your words come out of this void. Your very essence emerged from emptiness." Dr. Wayne Dyer

How to Affirm Peace and Life Balance

Our first affirmations to renew peace within are: "I take time for spiritual connection in meditation or prayer." "I choose serenity now, as I allow myself to go within and to connect with the comforting silence of my soul."

You can take time each day, even fifteen minutes, to sit comfortably in silence, breathing deeply several times. As you re-connect with your inner being, you will be revitalized at every level. If you are a spiritual person, your silence will connect you with the Universal Spirit-bringing you peace and inspiration that nourishes your entire being.

If you are not used to letting your mind be silent, don't be concerned. If distracting thoughts crop up while meditating, simply acknowledge them and let them go. With practice it becomes easier to remain in peaceful silence for longer periods of time.

"As I close my eyes and take a deep breath, I inhale uplifting feelings of peace and calm. I exhale and release any tension or stress." If you haven't already tried this simple exercise, try it now and notice how relaxed you feel. Be sure to find a quiet spot were you will not be disturbed as you breathe deeply five or six times, with the eyes closed .

The stress of daily life and the constant mental conversations can fatigue the body. When you relax the body, emotions and the mind, you allow them to renew. You give yourself the gift of recharging the batteries!

"I deserve to relax. As I stop and relax I refresh my mind, my body and my spirit." Of course you can relax on the beach, sitting in a quiet place in a field or forest, watching the sunset, or listening to peaceful music with your eyes closed. "I embrace my oneness with nature, the seasons, the sky, and all of the colors, smells and textures."

What are several ways you can think of to relax that work for you? Remember that an important aspect of the previous affirmation is that you deserve to relax. Many times we give to others and forget that we too deserve to enjoy life with a slower pace from time to time.

"No matter what events occur during my day I remain calm and centered." "I let go of worry. I enjoy the natural flow of this day; whatever it may bring. "

You never know in life what each moment may bring. These two affirmations are a great way to start the day, and the second one is helpful during a stressful or challenging situation. You can say the affirmation internally if you wish. Your reactions and responses reflect what follows next. If you can maintain a calm and serene approach, you not only enjoy an inner sense of peace, you also provide a calming space for others surrounding you.

Many clients have used this technique to switch from worry to staying "in the flow." When Sam stopped worrying about whether he was too old or carried a few extra pounds, he met his soulmate. Mira stopped worrying about not finding a job, and remained calm. She focused on what her new and desirable job would be, and the excitement she would feel. She accepted a PR position soon after she created a shift in her perspective.

"I live and enjoy fully the present moment." How easy it is to find oneself thinking about the future, remembering something in the past, or allowing a series of distracting thoughts enter into the moment. There is nothing "wrong" with these common occurrences. However they can impact our living completely in the moment.

I am often in the process of thinking about creating a product or program, writing or planning classes. Sometimes these thoughts come up when I am doing another unrelated activity. Suddenly I realize-oops! "I live and enjoy fully the present moment." This brings me back into the present. Try it sometime, and I assure you it is a handy tool to get the most out of the time at hand.

Of course this life affirming phrase also has a deeper meaning. It is a gentle reminder to let go of past situations or issues that can be frustrating or limiting. Sometimes letting go of the past is absolutely imperative to moving on with life- and allowing the space for new and wonderful situations and people to appear.

"If you seek love and peace first, if you learn to become mindfully present, you'll find that good things seem to be attracted to you without your even having to specify them. When you think about using the power of your mind in daily life, remember that peace is the most important goal, because thoughts of peace open the heart to love, and they close the mind to fear. Peace and love are the frame of reference through which we discover the mind's true power."
Joan Borysenko, author of The Power of the Mind to Heal.

The Second Life Platform The Second Life Platform - Greetings! I'm not sure how many of you have heard of or are sensitive to Second Life and its related entities. Re: Charge what you're worth Re: Charge what you're worth - [quote="Tami Szabo":292ze3jd]People will pay you what you ask. Very few will ever up the price. You are the one who decided what you are worth. The key is that we believe our services are worth the price we are asking.[/quote:292ze3jd] Hi Tami, You're absolutely right. In "Think and Grow Rich", Jessie B. Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.
