Making the Most of a Career Transition

My desire here is to provide you with a brightly lit lantern to help you to let go of fears, and to guide you firmly on your path.

During moments when you find anxiety and worry creeping into your consciousness, find a quiet place and sit with your eyes closed. Take a deep breath. Breathe out any tension or anxiety. Let that energy release right out through your feet and into the earth. Do this several times, if necessary.

Now, breathe in peace and tranquility. Feel as if you are wrapped in a warm blanket of love and protection. Sense that you are supported by helpful and loving people. Tell yourself mentally and verbally, "The Universe is prosperous and abundant." "The Universe supports me and guides me to prosperous ideas and financial abundance!" You can also write these words on a card and carry them with you to use as affirmations.

Following are several essential keys for developing positive career changes and making the most of your flux time:

Count Your Blessings. It's easy for any of us to become resentful or frustrated with the progress, or lack of, in our lives. I remind myself to bless everything and everyone I have in my life.

Focus on everything you love to do. Without editing, freely write down everything you love to do, including sports and hobbies. Allow yourself to write ideas that seem frivolous or outrageous. Be sure to include a list of the skills you have presently, and any classes you have taken or credentials you have received. Pinpoint the two or three areas that motivate you the most.

For example, if you are talented at both promoting and marketing, and you love art and fashion, stay open to a career change in these areas. By doing this, you open up to receiving all opportunities that relate to the activities you are passionate about.
Whether you know exactly what you want to pursue, or whether you are still exploring, you can visualize doing what you love and being well paid.

See yourself in a healthy environment, and working with people you enjoy. Sense that you are prosperous in every way and living the lifestyle you desire. Be sure to do this at least once a day.

Get out and meet new people. It's challenging, when experiencing a major life transition, to remain confident, and to get out and meet people. But how can you take advantage of potential good fortune if you don't stay connected with others? You will probably be surprised at how much energy and inspiration you gain by sharing with others. In fact, the way in which the Universal Spirit offers you exciting opportunities is through the people and situations in your life.

Notice the small things. Know that everyone is on our path for a reason. Did someone offer you an interesting suggestion or a referral related to your goals, that you left untouched? Sometimes a little step can turn into something big! Even a suggested book or article can lead you to inspiring ideas and ultimately to your new career.

Take a job that is related to what you love to do. It's tempting to think that there are not enough jobs to go around in this economy. However, the spiritual truth is that there is plenty of abundance to go around. By staying open to your financial prosperity and attracting a job you enjoy performing, you remain close to your purpose. If you take any job, you are telling yourself that you don't deserve to realize your dreams, and secondly that money is scarce for everyone, including you.

The timing of the Universe may be different than yours. For example, one person may leave a job that provides an opening for you. That job may not be available at this moment but it could appear tomorrow, in a month, or at a later time.

The same holds true for entrepreneurs. You can sew the seeds now, generating more clients and greater fortunes in the future. Whatever we radiate, we attract. Each thought, word and action is filled with energy. All energy finds a path that is sent out into the world, and manifests itself in our lives as experience. By using transition as a way to reshape our lives, we can create new dreams, goals and realities.

First we focus on what we truly want, and then we let the Universal Intelligence respond. By doing this, we embrace a life that flows with greater ease, and that also corresponds to our natural passion, joy and unique talents.

Jenna decided that she wanted a career that focused on using her marketing skills. She was searching for a related career when a friend told her about a job opening in her field. Jenna understood that at first she would be not be paid. However, within a couple of months she would be making a regular salary.

Although this solution might not appeal to everyone, Jenna is really having fun in her new job, and she is also learning additional skills. The small company is doing well and will be taking on new employees. Jenna feels confident that she will soon be enjoying a full time paid position. By having faith in her intuition and by being willing to take a risk, Jenna is now closer to realizing her career goals in marketing.

SPECIAL AFFIRMATION:

"I deserve great prosperity. I attract my life dreams, as I open up to new opportunities."
