Written by: Jeannie Campanelli, Ed.D., CPCC

Article Overview: What is “the ultimate wealth”? Notice if your mind immediately went to the thought of ‘money’ as the equivalent of ‘wealth’. What do you notice are your thoughts when you define wealth as the amount of money that you have? What are your feelings? What sensations in your body are present? Pause. Take a moment and notice what is there for you to learn about you before read-ing further. Ask yourself in this quiet place: How fulfilled am I in this area? Do I truly have the sense of having ‘enough’?

The Ultimate Wealth

It’s important to note that having money can give a sense of financial freedom and abundance, and that it doesn’t bring happiness. We see this clearly in the media which gives us the opportunity to observe the lives of the rich and famous. This isn’t about making it wrong to desire wealth. It’s the awareness that true abundance actually comes when we stop being attached to it - striving and struggling and trying hard to make it in-stead of feeling content right where we are.

I have noticed this about myself. Trusting that I am supported and feeling content with what I have NOW has made a huge difference for me. I look at my health, a kind, loving and fun life partner, my family which includes his along with mine, my many friends and close colleagues, my beloved dog, my nourishing home, a career that I’m passionate about, wonderful clients ....the list goes on and on. And I feel strong and grateful and happy as I stop and remember.

I am also very aware that ‘the ultimate wealth’ goes deeper than all of this. Identifying with my spirit instead of my ego brings me a sense of inner peace that is priceless and translates as being the ultimate wealth to me. Knowing that I’m more than my personal-ity - that I am interconnected with All That Is - brings me a sense of bliss that cannot be purchased.

What would be a definition that creates a sense of contentment deep inside of you? In claiming your life as your own, what is the ultimate wealth for YOU?

The following are some options that may support you in expanding how you define wealth:

• Knowing that you live in integrity, supporting yourself and others to live happy, suc-cessful, peaceful lives can bring a sense of well-being and a guilt-free inner world that can constitute true wealth.
• A sense of well-being and pleasure that results from creating a legacy that has a posi-tive impact on the future.
• Joy that comes from knowing and expressing your purpose in ways that are true and authentic to your natural essence.
• Spontaneously expressing yourself in all that you do, sharing your joy and passion with those around you.
• The inner peace that comes from a deep connection to and identification with your spirit.
• The sense of aliveness and vitality that comes from enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
• The abundance of time to do what you want to do.
• Knowing how to practice true generosity - giving and receiving - which is the art of let-ting go.
• The ability to laugh at yourself and take life lightly.
• A core, inner-child knowing that you are loved and accepted by you for ALL of your humanness which is reflected by others in your world.

Let’s explore further. Choose a perspective - either your own or one that was suggested above that feels right at a body level. You know it’s right as it will bring you a sense of relaxation and expansion in your heart. For the sake of deeper clarity, complete the sentence, IF ONLY I had _______, I would feel ________. The feeling is the clue as to what you are truly missing in your life.
What is different for you when you define being wealthy outside of the realm of the money perspective? Imagine living in that perspective.

Re: Bye Bye Vista Re: Bye Bye Vista -
I've been cleaning house...Finally rid myself of this atrocious operating system called Windows Vista. Eeeegads! It's good to have a nice clean computer again - all reformatted and shiny new! Windows XP has been reinstalled and Vista is in the trash can. Vista is a bomb... plain and simple. ..[/quote:3q55cgov] Where do I begin... I love Vista Ultimate on my personal laptop, but when I tried to integrate my Vista Ultimate laptop into the local area network here at work... Let's just say Vista couldn't quite take on the challenge of a network log-on and killed itself. I have since formatted Vista and vowed to keep my Vista at home, XP here at work. I have an XP desktop and I'm having an older laptop of mine reformatted into an XP Pro laptop for when I need to VPN in to work (as it turns out, Vista and my office network don't really like to VPN, as it is currently.) Vista is a lot of fun for personal use, but it's an abysmal atrocity for work use.
Good Adwords Books? Good Adwords Books? - I've just purchased "Ultimate Guide to Pay-Per-Click Advertising" by Richard Stokes. Has anyone read it, and if so what do you think? Does anyone have any other recommendations for books relating to Adwords? Thanks,
Re: Burn all your bridges inorder to succeed?? Re: Burn all your bridges inorder to succeed?? -
Some people are very self motivated, while others are lazy and need to create a sense of urgency to get themselves moving toward their goal. For instance, I was just watching a television interview on a mixed martial arts fighter who admitted to being lazy and burned all of his bridges in order to succeed. He sold all of his possessions, got in his car and left his family and friends behind to pursue his dream until he eventually made it into the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships). When you have literally nothing to go home to, it can drive a person to do great things. At times, burning all of your bridges is what it takes since "bonds" between you and others can actually be a distraction.[/quote:x11o039o] As my fraternity brothers and I said in college, "there is nothing that motivates us so much as the imminence of failure." For my personal fitness I definitely have to burn bridges; I need to be left alone for months in order to reach my fitness goals.
Book: The 1-Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealt Book: The 1-Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealt - Book:The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth Robert G. Allen (co-author of Chicken Soup for the Soul) 2002 Jacket: Is it possible to make a million dollars in only one minute? The answer just might surprise you. [This book] is an entirely new approach, a life changing "millionaire system" that will teach you how to: 1. Create wealth even when you have little or nothing to start with 2. Use the power of leverage to build wealth rapidly 3. Overcome fears so you can take reasonable risks Use "one minute" habits to build wealth over the long term ...Here are two books in one, fiction and non-fiction, designed to address two kinds of learning so you can fully integrate these life-changing lessons. On the right-hand side pages you will find the fictional story of a woman who has to make a million dollars in ninety days or lose her two children forever. The left-hand pages give the practical, step-by-step non-fiction strategies and techniques that actually work in the real world.
Getting links from the giants Getting links from the giants - Hi Kevin - it's simple - what do you have to offer them? What kind of compelling reason can you give them to link to you? According to my Google Webmaster Central Tools I have a total of 15,937 links to my site. 4,523 of them go to my homepage while the remaining 11,414 go to various pages on my site. My last sitemap indicated that I have 34,789 pages of content on my website so, excluding the homepage, I have about one link for every three pages of content. I think it’s important to also note that I don’t do any link buying and never tell people what anchor text to use when they link to me. I always suggest that they use whatever text they feel best describes the page they are linking to on my site (if everyone links to you with the same anchor text you can get penalized from Google). Having great content is one way to build links but usually you also need to take an active approach to marketing yourself. Can you build a section on your shoe site along the lines of "The Tennis Player's Ultimate Guide To Buying Shoes" where you talk about all the different considerations someone needs to make before buying shoes - and then at the end recommend Nike? In return Nike links to the site because it's a 3rd party endorsement of their products. Many big companies have News sections on their sites and always love showing off good news - you just need to find a way to give them something worth showing off!
