I should be the perfect lover, partner, worker, friend, parents, teacher, student, child etc
I should be able to endure without complaint
I should never lost my temper
I should never make mistakes
I should never be afraid
I should never be angry / jealous
I should be totally self reliant
I should not ask for help
I should be able to find a quick solution to every problem
I should be able to protect my family from pain
I should make enough money so that I / my family can afford….
I should be a success in everything I do
I should also have a tidy house
I should be busy; otherwise I am wasting my time
I should have the energy to do all of the things I must do
I should always look my best
I should put other people’s feelings before mine
I should strive to be perfect at all times
I should feel happy
I should feel guilty

Re: How did we Live before Electricity - Interesting topic everyone. The first thing that comes to mind and may answer some of your questions is this: look at how the Amish live. Now, you may not be familiar with the Amish where you live, but here in PA, I'm surrounded by them. Lancaster, PA is the heart of Amish, really. But, just over the ridge and mountain from where I live, the Amish are everywhere as well. They live without electricity everyday. It's forbidden for them to have it in their homes. They live a much more uncleanly life compared to the rest of us, but they get by and do very well for themselves. There are a lot of traits they have that many do not. Their work habit is the best I've ever seen. You can actually learn a lot from them, including how to get by without electricity... LOL. I like the idea of solar electricity. I think that's a technology we're going to be seeing more and more of.

Re: I will be away - It must be great to live so close to wild life when you live in a city you don't have that advantage but in Africa one does not have to go too far from home to get into the bush and enjoy it, so in that way we are quite lucky. MichelleJ
New, young entrepreneur - Hello all. I partially own a very small production company where I live and help to run another production company where I live. We're all young, with the exception of about two or three others, and we've done pretty well for ourselves. I'm proud to say that by the end of this week, we will be a bonefide LLC after all of our hard work. I never dreamed that I would be an entrepreneur, but here I sit!
