Succesful Living Part 4 - Overcoming FEAR

Over the last few years Fear is spreading like a disease more then ever; economical crises, violence, unrest, epidemics, natural disasters and not to mention some of our own personal fears of rejection, failure or losing control.

Some fears are hardwired into the human brain to protect us against natural dangers and ensure our survival - Others are not. These latter Fears can be overcome. It may not always be easy, but there are ways.

I have chosen 5 quotes from famous people that resonate with me and also reflect my own experience and observations of how to overcome all those fears that arise from our perceptions.

Choosing

'Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it.' - Bill Cosby

Courage

'Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.' - Ambrose Redmoon

Mistakes

'The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.'

- Elbert Hubbard

Just Happening

'You are a happening in this ocean of consciousness. Your heart beats by itself; you're not making it beat. Your breath moves by itself, sleep comes, you feel hunger, you feel thirsty, you feel good, you feel bad. All those phenomenon are happening in your life. When this realization comes, a deep relaxation, a trust, a feeling of "at home" and fullness arises in you. That is surrender.' –

- Sri Sri Ravishankar

Nothing to Lose

'What are you afraid of? What do you think you will lose? Just wake up and see you have nothing to lose in the first place! And, even if you think you have something, how long can you hold on to it?' - Sri Sri Ravishankar

Which quote resonates most with you? All I would like to add is this - Face your Fears, acknowledge them, look at them one by one and then decide what is more important: Your Fear or that what you want to achieve, to do, to create or to be, it is very helpful to move beyond them.

You can't decide? I say that's ok too. Let it be and relax.

With my best wishes for your success,

Christiane Pohl

Re: What Do you Prefer More - Time or Money Re: What Do you Prefer More - Time or Money - Living the moment. I am living the moment since 4 years ago, after the docs found cancer. They removed it, of course, and since then I just do what i want. Jumping from an airplane was one thing, that was great. Now I want to fly to the moon. I need money for that.

Re: How does an entrepreneur stay energized? Re: How does an entrepreneur stay energized? - Hi there, This subject is not only for entrepreneurs. Everybody can benefit from this, that is the reason why 'Healthy Living and Eating' is a multi billion Dollar business. Often I smile, because so much is written about it. So many different business are blooming and doing well. Whilst there is so much knowledge and opportunity to be healthy and well, the need is still growing. There is so much that could be said. The cheapest form of energy is gained by a good sleep.
Inspiration for Logos Inspiration for Logos - When a Buddhist looks at a Tibetan flag one of the first thing that pops in their mind is admiration respect. After assimilating that they keep thinking and repression might come next. Living as part of a communist nation may bring lots of feelings. Chastity, prayer, humility all these virtues are all mixed. When you want a client to think of your Logo may this not be an example of what he thinks. Let its all be positive and with hope of something better coming.
