Concentration Is The Cure For Tough Times…Part Two

Written by: Keith Shaw

Article Overview: You may or may not have a genius IQ. In fact, you are probably like the 70% of the population who are in the 85 to 115 IQ range. It does not matter. The man or woman that is chosen to take charge is not usually a genius. She does not possess any more talent than the others, but she has learned that results can only be produced by untiring, concentrated effort.

Concentration Is The Cure For Tough Times…Part Two

In Part One of this article, I shared my five-step attitude adjustment plan. In part two of this article, I’ll share more on why concentration is so powerful and I include an inspirational story that I hope will get you off of your behind and working on taking control of your life through concentration.

Every one of you who is willing to invest your time in learning to concentrate and focus can be a success. The investment, of course, is not in money, but in effort. Many times it is the 90 / 10 rule that gets it done: “Success is achieved by 90 percent perspiration and 10 percent inspiration”.

But, the FIRST essential quality for success is the desire to do - to achieve something.

The SECOND is to learn how to do it.

And the THIRD is for you to take the appropriate action needed for you to succeed!

It has been said that “If you want to get something done, give it to a busy person.” Do not look at how little you can do, but how much you can do. In life, the busy person will always be in demand, for they establish the reputation of being a “can do” person.

To reach the top of any endeavor it pays to be focused, determined, confident, courageous and energetic. Failure comes as a result when you are uncertain, wavering, fearful and self doubting.

For example, look at a person in their first job after graduating from college or university. She had little or no experience at the time and as a result, little responsibility and power. But as she made commitments, achieved results and developed as a leader others gained confidence in her as a “can do” person, and she climbed the ladder to higher challenges. She was successful because of the reputation she built, and by concentrating energy into her efforts.

You may or may not have a genius IQ. In fact, you are probably like the 70% of the population who are in the 85 to 115 IQ range. It does not matter. The man or woman that is chosen to take charge is not usually a genius. She does not possess any more talent than the others, but she has learned that results can only be produced by untiring, concentrated effort. She knows that results come by sticking to a plan and seeing it through. She becomes successful by becoming accustomed to “successfully doing” and feeling sure of her success.

It is disappointing to see many men and women, rich in ability and talent that do not put in the effort to succeed. Many of these people only need a little motivation to get them started. But usually they allow themselves to be impacted by the words and actions of others and they never reach their full potential. The result is that their inborn powers never develop and both they and the world are poorer for it. All they need is to be shown and encouraged that there is within them an omnipotent source that is ready to aid them, providing they will make use of it.

I can think of nothing that should interfere with you becoming successful. Not age, physical capabilities, health or wealth. Alexandra “Alex” Scott at 4 years old founded (yes, I said 4 years old, it is not a typo!) a charity for pediatric cancer research. For the next four years of Alex’s life, she continued to run her annual “Alex’s Lemonade Stand for Pediatric Research” and inspired countless others to do the same. Alex unfortunately died in 2004 at the age of 8, but her spirit lives on. At the time of this writing the charity she founded has raised well over $25,000,000 for pediatric cancer research. Was Alex a success? Incredibly and inspiringly so! If a young lady with focus and determination can do this, there is no obstacle that you should not be able to overcome. To overcome, all that is necessary is to use your determination and will.

In today’s world, when things do not turn out as you planned, you can redeem yourself by your own will. Do not wait for the encouragement of others or for inspiring advice to come. Take the initiative to conquer your weaknesses on your own and to get on the path to success. And, along the way, you should periodically sit down and examine the progress you have made. If you have not risen up to the level you expected, you should discover the reason, and apply the extra effort needed.

Remember, the successful person, is the one who gets knocked down seven times, and gets up eight times. The people that have risen to the highest levels of success have usually had to gain victories against big odds.

You can be that person!

Dramatized the product Dramatized the product - Tough one... It's going to have t be a mix of different media. 1. Testimonials of current owners of the product and how it's helped them. This can be done thru Video and print 2. Somehow I believe there will have to be Video of it being "dramatized" 3. People of influence will have to support or sponsor the product. just some that came to mind..
Re: Obama Wants Social Security for Illegals Re: Obama Wants Social Security for Illegals - Obama intends to do that... but I'm very much afraid McCain wants to do that as well. There's very little to choose between the two presidential candidates, I'm afraid, at least when it comes to the Illegals situation. But really, you have to blame the government for letting this get out of hand to begin with. If laws had been enforced decades ago, we wouldn't have this problem now. But businesses profited by using illegals, so the government looked the other way... Not that I begrudge [i:1w0ftrfu]anyone [/i:1w0ftrfu]the opportunity to come to the USA for a better life. Just do it legally... Or if you [i:1w0ftrfu]are [/i:1w0ftrfu]illegal, don't start demanding rights that only legals deserve! (Then again, it's the ACLU that's working on citizenship rights for illegals!) Tough situation, and I really don't see a solution that's equitable...
