What Is All This Talk About Change

What is all this talk about change? Lately, we see and hear everywhere “that change is coming”. The U.S. White House website now says that “Change Has Come To America”.

There are numerous other websites that are dedicated to change, and countless quotations on the subject.

However, most people do not like change. In fact, one could say that the only people that like change are babies and the people who work in toll booths or the cashiers at the convenience store!

In fact King Whitney, Jr. remarked, “Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better.”

Things of course can change on their own. And, things can change if you take action to do them yourself.

If you wait for things to change on their own, you probably will not get what you want. In fact, you may wind up with far less than you had before the changes occurred!

So how do you become motivated to create change, rather than being at the whims of the universe as if you were a piece of driftwood on the open sea?

Here’s my secret – “There Needs To Be A Desire To Change Within You…”

You must work to create the passion, emotion and desire that operates on your “will to do” and causes it to take action. I also refer to this as the “Fire In The Belly”. In the “Rocky III” movie, the character Apollo Creed called it “The Eye Of The Tiger”.

No matter what you may called it, know that every one of us possesses some level of "will to do”. However, we do not always tap into it and use it to its’ full potential and potency.

Your “will to do” is the inner energy which controls all of your conscious and subconscious acts. Your “will to do” directs your life forces, habits (both good and bad) and your condition in life. Your will has a connection with all avenues of knowledge, activities, and accomplishment. When you develop the power of concentration within you, you will have developed a higher level of self mastery and your “will to do”.

The “will to do” is a force that is strictly practical. We know it is a force through its cause-and-effect nature. It is a power, like electricity, we can direct. To the extent we direct it, we determine our future. Every time you accomplish any definite act, consciously or subconsciously, you use the principle of the will. Through the “will to do” you can do anything. Therefore the way you use your will - both right and wrong – will make a huge difference in the outcome of your life focus.

You probably know of cases where people have shown tremendous strength under some traumatic experience: The frail person who lifts a heavy car to save the person trapped underneath. The fireman, who rushes into a burning building in order to save others, is another example. In both examples, they used their "will to do" to accomplish the task.

The “will to do” can accomplish great results through activities that grow out of great concentration. In developing the power of concentration, we acquire the power of voluntary attention to such an extent that we can direct it where we want to and hold it steadily to its task, until we accomplish our goals. When you learn to use your will power it becomes a mighty force. Almost everything can be accomplished through its proper use. It is greater than physical force because it can be used to control not only your physical actions, but also your mental health and mind power.

Mahatma Gandhi, said long ago, “You must be the change you want to see in the world”.

Build a burning desire to change, within you. Tap into your “will to do” and learn how to maximize its’ powerful force and you will achieve far more than you ever dreamed possible.

Re: Spellcheck? Re: Spellcheck? - [quote="TheAnonymousMan":2f894q6j]When discussing the majority of people I would definitely say that most people hit the "Change" or "Ignore" button without thinking too much about the correct spelling of a word. All bosses are concerned about is getting the report to the Directors meeting on time.[/quote:2f894q6j] That probably depends on what the "majority" are trying to accomplish. I have word set to alert me about misspellings and grammatical problems, so I fix most as I go. But I also add names etc to the dictionary because I get tired of seeing the red and green squiggles when I know the info is right. If you're only going to click "Change" or "Ignore" then why bother to take the time to use spell check????? Business people that I work for want the info compiled in a timely manner and they want it right - which is fine because that's the way I strive to do any project. Sending out a memo, letter, report etc with obvious spelling and grammatical mistakes makes the person and the company look bad as far as I'm concerned. Shri

Basically, help others in your market out and build relationships with people. Be someone who gives, not takes. I'll keep them in mind if I go back to social media marketing. I'm currently in the SEO phase of my business.
