Features of a Good and Successful E Commerce Website

These days, when the percentage of Internet users is increasing with every new day. The web world offers more and more business opportunities. They have opened doors to the Online business for almost all the products and services. On the Internet, the first interface between the service providers and the people is the company's own website. Every new day, when hundreds of websites are piled up and when you have hundreds of competitors operating Online, how you are going to differentiate yourself among so many others with same services and almost same price. The best thing where you can actually make a difference is at your own website. Specially if you have E Commerce shop, your website needs not to look attractive and appealing only but it should have good functionality too. Below are few features I have mentioned which are just extremely important for a E Commerce website to be a success. 1. Users Navigation should be easy: Effective navigation is very important for E Commerce website. As here the buyers need to explore a lot before making a purchase decision. Let the users navigation experience be wonderful, then see what wonders it can do. If the customers is feeling like if he has lost, trust me he is never going to return back to your website ever again. Give them a very clear and simple Navigation. Define the paths very clearly so that if customers wish, they may return back to its previous position.

2. Sell Products, not the web design: The design of the website should not be too complex or extravagant, that it distracts the customers away from the products/services. The design should be simple, neat and clean so that the users can clearly view the products/services and its features etc. Remember, the design of the website is just acting like a support to your business. Do not over emphasize it. Rather keep the background white or any light color and show all the categories or offers at the homepage.

3. Place the offers, schemes and discounts at a place of highest visibility: If you have some discounts or offers for the customers, then do not hide it by putting it some place, where people even cannot take a notice of. These are the temptations and attractions for the customers. Studies demonstrate that free shipping offers on web sites have a great impact on Internet shoppers and help to bring about more sales conversions.

4. Keep the Check out step most easy one: Always remember, if the check out step is going to take much of time, the buyers purchasing decision would not convert into action and he will leave the process unfinished. Patience is a virtue, which almost everybody lacks.

5. Place attractive and relevant photos of Products: Buying Online is altogether a different experience than buying in a regular physical store where we can actually see, touch and use the products before buying them to see their working condition. Now to fill this gap, you can actually place good quality photo with the product which can actually portray the product and its features well. Keep a shot information about the product as a standard and the long details as an option for the customers.

6. Design of the website should be related to Products: This point has relevance to the small stores where you can some specific range of products only. The design style should match with the products sold on the particular store.

An E Commerce website should be carefully designed keeping all above features in mind. Think by putting yourself in the shoes of the customers, to set the design pattern and other technicalities.
