When hundreds of websites are made each day, it is very difficult to differentiate our website from others who are offering almost same services/products. Each of us want to have an attractive website so as to drive out maximum traffic. It may happen that people come to your website but due to some annoying issue, they just close down the window tab and probably would never land back to your site ever again. You will sit back and think..What went wrong? The main reason behind this could be the delayed loading time of the web page.

If your website has lots of design elements like, images, graphics, flash etc. that it will definitely take too much of time to load. People just lack patience. Do you think that they will stay back and wait for your website to open at its own pace. If you think that they would, then you are absolutely wrong! This issue is of serious concern and should be taken care of, immediately. You need to do web page optimization.

When the design is finished and you are ready to slice it into small images to be used in the html code, your creativity skills are tested. This slicing step is very crucial in web development because whatever you do at this stage will affect the total page size. Do efficient and effective slicing.Below are few tips which you should keep in mind while going about web page optimization:

1- Never take a large slice that contains same graphic elements. Always make use of small slice, and duplicate it into your code. Here is where programmers do mistake when dealing with gradient color background.

2- Never make large slice of too many different colors. Rather take small slices of limited number of colors.

3- In case you have text on solid color background, then don't slice that part, but use HTML code for that. You can customize both the fonts and background color of the area using CSS

4- Do not use JPEG file all the time rather make use of other image formats like GIF. Sometimes, with different colors, one format gives small size file than the other. Always remember whatever you reduce from the image file, that would in turn reduce the page size.

5- If you are using large animation, then it should be sliced into number of sections to isolate the animated areas. This results in better animation, improved image quality, and less waiting time to see the image.

6- Expanding border enhances the page without adding a great deal of load time. A small image should be sliced and coded in a way that it stretches to fill the available space instead of using a large image.

7- Javascript allows you to create some really cool effects without making the web page overloaded with so many designs elements like Flash etc.

8- Your webpage should contain plenty of text and should contain each of your keywords and keyword phrases used in different variations.

As average Internet bandwidth is increasing, designers and developers tend to make complex websites with overloaded design elements in it. This is the biggest mistake they do. Rather they should find ways to make loading of the web page easy. Today when people are accessing Internet through smart phones, laptops, PDA's , Creating fast loading web page will enhance their browsing experience.

SEO Marketing tips for Promoting your Business on Bing - Bing is gaining popularity and within a short period of time this search engine has surpassed Yahoo and almost giving tough competition to Google. There are more users logging into Bing every single day. Some of the cool things about Bing is that it is QUICK and has a better USER INTERFACE. Domain Age – Bing gives preference to your domain’s age.
