The Law of Atrraction – Does it work?
Written by: Malti BhojwaniArticle Overview: More and more people are awakening to the concept of attracting desirable outcomes in life rather than living a life out of default. Recently, “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne took the world by storm, even Oprah Winfrey was intrigued enough to invite her to the show. It divided people into two – believers and non-believers.

The Law of Atrraction – Does it work?
In my experience though, the proof is in the pudding. Practice the principles and look for validation and you will be converted. But off-course, you have to be willing to believe first. Classic chicken and egg scenario. Reading books on the Law of Attraction certainly opens up your world to new possibilities but results only come from actually believing and practicing. Ask, Believe and Receive. Having a partner hold your hand while you do this is priceless. Thinking positive is not enough, we have to FEEL positive vibes in order to attract more of what we want and less of what we don’t want.
Inspired by Lynn Grabhorn’s Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting – where Grabhorn stresses that just asking is not enough, you need to truly FEEL the vibes of already having what you ask for.
My take on it is very spiritual now, perhaps because I have manifested again and again, I trust the Universe Implicitly. Things, circumstances are exactly as they should be in order for you to realise and manifest what you want. Even when you cannot for the life of you see it. Imagine that once you have asked and you have declared that you are going to have a certain something, the universe needs to arranges all its pieces – like a 1000pc jigsaw puzzle’s box being thrown in the air and having to all fall into place to create this picture that you have conjured up in your mind. Imagine that this is occurring in slow motion, some pieces have to move up in order for others to move down. If you were to take a snap shot of this process in motion, it would look chaotic, you would not be able to see the finished picture at all.
This is where implicit trust comes in. Even being caught in traffic is part of the plan, even the most inconvenient occurrences like the global economy crisis is necessary, for the pieces to fall into the perfect place that is for your highest good.
I am no longer even surprised when I make things happen. I have been able to “make” a rainbow appear when I have wanted to. A car I wanted became mine to own. It is fun. The Law works. Another very important thing to remember to do, is to be grateful. Less than a year ago, my brother gave me a Gratitude Journal, and I write in it every night, first I would struggle to think of things to be grateful for, then I started going through my days noticing all the things I am grateful for, making mental notes to write them down at night in my journal, then I started writing names of the people who touched my life that day, and since then, everyday is more beautiful than the last always giving me ample of things to be grateful for.
You would never try to defy the law of gravity, if I release this pencil, it will inevitably fall to the ground. If I stepped out the window and jumped, I will fall and probably die. Gravity is a Law. So is the Law of Attraction, so why doubt it?
I started practicing the Sutra Statements in Deepak Chopra’s Synchrodestiny.
THE FOURTH PRINCIPLE : SAN KALPA
INTENT WEAVES THE TAPESTRY OF THE UNIVERSESUTRA:SAN KALPA [sahn KAL-pah]
MY INTENTIONS HAVE INFINITE ORGANIZING POWER - STATEMENT
Imagine that the whole universe is a vast ocean of consciousness, and your intentions shoot out from within your heart and ripple across the vast ocean of consciousness.
[san kalpa]
Imagine that your intention is orchestrating the infinite activity of the universe. counterbalancing the whole ecosystem.
[san kalpa]
Imagine that your intention can heal those who are not well.
[san kalpa]
Imagine that your intention can bring joy and laughter to those who are in sorrow.
[san kalpa]
Imagine that you can bring success to those who are failing.
[san kalpa]
Imagine that you can bring strength to those who feel weak and fearful
[san kalpa]
Imagine that you can bring hope to those who are feeling helpless.
[san kalpa]
Imagine that your thoughts affect the natural forces of the universe, that you can bring rain and sunshine, clouds and rainbows.
[san kakpa]
Imagine that every thought you have, every word you utter, every deed of yours brings some benefit to the world.
[san kalpa]
When you enter a meditative state and repeat this sutra, you strengthen the power of your intentions. Here is how to use it:
Spend a few minutes in meditation, allowing your mind to settle. Now imagine that the entire universe is a vast ocean of consciousness and that your intentions emerge from your heart and ripple out into this ocean, where they are fulfilled with effortless ease. Then say silently to yourself, “San Kalpa.”
Ever since I started meditating on these statements, they resonated and I started to see proof and validation that it was all true for me.
Using these Sutra Statements alone, my clients have been able to manifest their heart’s desires in very short periods of time. They have been able to retract and change things that were going in an unfavorable direction. Get over phobias and replace bad habits.
Money, Love, Recognition, what do you really really want? When was the last time you truly answered that question? What if just deciding to answer this question is in fact your first step towards realising your wants? The power in declaration is what starts the process. You say so, so it is.
Life coaching used in conjunction with an implicit TRUST in the laws of the universe is the single most powerful thing you can do for yourself. When you just start out, it helps to have someone else believe in you and hold your hand and encourage you to remain in “trust” instead of falling into doubt.
Just like in the Secret, I too have a “parking God” every time I go anywhere, I never even think about parking, and I get a spot that is very convenient without having to look for one, but every time someone else is in the car with me and merely raises the question, where are you going to park? And I start doubting it…..I don’t get parking. Doubt isn’t even an active thing we do, the mere absence of trust, when we start to question, is doubt. Trust the Universe Implicitly, if you walk away with nothing else today, but to say this and believe it "I trust the Universe Implicitly", I assure you, your life will change.
