Make A Decision To Be The Person You Want To Be!
I love to ask questions, especially when it makes us think about our answers. This is one for you. Are you satisfied with any area of your life at this time?
If you answer yes I certainly applaud you. You have made a choice that makes this possible.
I remember when I was a little girl, tall, skinny and a stutterer. You know how ruthless kids can be. They enjoyed picking on me, the more they picked the more I stuttered and went inward. I told my mother I did not have any friends and no one liked me.
Her answer is with me still, today. She said, "Harriette if you want a friend, be a friend." Or in other words give your friendship away so that it will come back to you.
I did not really understand what she meant so she explained further. Choose a person you like and be kind to them and be the friend you want someone to be to you. I gradually stepped out and did exactly that. This specific person did not become a good friend although years later we still respect each other. Her best friend became my best friend.
I didn't understand until years later what an important lesson this is. To me today it means: whatever I want, I first have to be that person and give freely what I want to receive back. If you want a specific person to come into your life, be the person you want to attract.
If you want to attract money into your life, yes, definitely, give some of the green stuff away. It does not have to be a great deal of money. It is the spirit behind a gift.
Gift money to a person or organization who has supported you spiritually or a charity you believe in. Do not expect it back. It will come to you. There is no other way.
If you want a successful business treat the one you have as if it is a million dollar enterprise. Be the business leader a multimillion-dollar enterprise would have at its helm. Be the leader you admire and respect.
William James says, " Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does."
In other words, what would this owner do daily to grow the business, when you get the answer you seek, do what this owner does to grow his business.
Everything you are today, or ever will be in the future, is up to you. Your life today is the sum total result of your choices, decisions and actions up to this point.
Make a decision today to be the person you want to be. Accept nothing short of that.
