I didn't feel like getting up each morning. Or moving. I tossed aside my normal morning "power regimen" and turned to the TV for some infilling of information. My TV shows of choice were "Another World" (a 1991 soap opera) and professional wrestling (a 1986 soap opera). Yes, I opted for soap operas and soap operas in spandex. Now, before you get a visual -- I was not the one in the spandex. I wear what I usually wear in the morning - pj's, a tie and a superman cape!

Some of you may think I have it all together all the time. Eternally optimistic with unshakable confidence, unflinching energy and unflappable endurance. Tony at a level 10, as Ursula Mentjes says. But, I do have my moments. And I had a string of those moments in 2007.

My advocates, friends and family pulled together for me, including my friend Becky Whatley. I believe it was Becky who had a couple books sent to me. One was Designing Your Destiny - Achieving Personal and Professional Success Through Upside Thinking by Lisa Marie Platske. The other, Selling with Intention by Ursula C. Mentjes.

These were life-changing books. I immediately went through them and even picked up Lisa Marie's and Ursula's future book releases. I remember standing in line at the entrance to Del Mar Fair / San Diego County Fair and tearing through these books! My brain was outlining a step-by-step process to climb out of the mucky-muck, release the gremlins and get on some kind of a success program. I so much appreciate all these ladies mentioned above and those of YOU who lifted me up when I was riddled with doubt, fear, anxiety and pain.

The Second Life Platform - Greetings! I'm not sure how many of you have heard of or are sensitive to Second Life and its related entities. However, Second Life is a fantastic platform to mimmick real life business operations in a real currency based economy. There are plenty of successful stories for creative individuals, but I'd highly suggest doing your research and appreciating Second Life for what it is, and what it isn't.

Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.
