Stuck In a Rut? - Action is The Key That Will Set You Free!
Do you feel like you are trapped inside your own personal Ground Hog day movie?
In the movie Ground Hog Day, Bill Murray plays a TV reporter that is forced to relive the same day (Ground Hog day) over and over and over again.
No matter what happens, every time that he goes to sleep he wakes up and it's Ground Hog day again.
Can you imagine your life being like that?
He gets so depressed that he even commits suicide in the film, but when 6 am comes and his alarm clock goes off he is back in his bed ready to relive the day over again.
Have you ever felt like that?
Have you ever felt like you were fighting a losing battle?
Have you ever felt that no matter what you try to do you will end up exactly back where you started?
I have felt like that, and if you are reading this article then you have probably felt like that too.
In the film Murray finally manages to break the curse of Ground Hog day, I wont tell you how just in case you haven't seen the film yet.
If you haven't seen it I would definitely recommend it.
If you find yourself stuck in your own personal Ground Hog day movie, then I would like to offer you a suggestion.
Don't spend as long as Bill Murray did running the same patterns of behaviour.
He did the same thing everyday and expected a different result.
That is insanity in itself.
The key to getting yourself unstuck lies in taking action, but it must be the correct type of action.
It is no good being busy taking action if the actions that you are taking are keeping you stuck in your rut.
You must take action to move you out of your deep, dark rut and help you make your way back into the light.
You must take action that will enable you to get out of your comfort zone.
Everything that you want in this world is outside of your comfort zone.
Since man was born he wanted to crawl.
Once he could crawl he wanted to walk.
Once he could walk he wanted to run.
Once he could run he wanted to drive.
Once he could drive he wanted to fly.
Progress is made by getting out of your comfort zone.
If you really want to get yourself unstuck then take action and get yourself out of your comfort zone and start making progress toward your goals.
Strive for something more than you already have, or more than you think you can accomplish and you will be too busy making progress to be stuck in a rut.
