New Logo Contest Results
In April I posted about a contest I was running with LogoMyWay.com to create a new logo for my Top 50 Blog Lists. I’m pleased to report that after 108 entries we have a winner!
1st Place
2nd Place
3rd Place
The winning entry was created by Sa2010, a fellow Canadian and overall I was extremely pleased with the quality and diversity of the entries posted. Creating a contest with LogoMyWay.com costs $200 and you’re able to tap into a very talented pool of designers who compete for your business. You can see all of the entries for my contest here.
I’ve already put the badge up on my most recent Top 50 List, The Top 50 Human Resources Blogs To Watch in 2010 and I think it adds a nice touch to the list to allow bloggers to imbed the badge.
I would definitely consider LogoMyWay.com again and they’ve just recently put out a contest to redesign the BP logo after the oil spill. It’s received over 200,000 views and has received a lot of media attention. Check out the contest here.

This is an interesting article. What a great idea to create and redesign a logo.
The logos above seem to be good and attractive. I think many companies have to redesign their logos to adapt and change with the changing markets.
I like the logo you got from LogoMyWay.com I might consider using them at a future project.

I agree with Trent. I definitely like the one you picked over the other two. LogoMyWay looks interesting and useful if you need a new logo. I’m checking out all the new BP logos right now that you linked to.

Company logos must represent the company’s capabilities and service with its design. Logos of many companies must be upgraded to current trends as Google does.Your three logos are attractive and apt to your title. Young talented fellows send their logos to contests and reduce cost effectively.

Congrats on having a successful contest. It is especially exciting to me because I am also in the graphic designing field. According to my view, most of the companies have to change their logos according to the changing times. When creating a new logo, the main focus must be on two things: (1) Precise and simple, which describes everything about the company at the first step itself; and (2) Eye Catching. Your selection process of the contest was very well done. The logo that came in first place is really great work.

You made the right choice as first prize. Thanks also for bringing this company to our attention. I hadn’t heard of LogoMyWay.com before and I like the business idea they have come up with.
I just checked out the logos and I have to agree, it is the clear winner. It’s much more eye-catching and inviting than the other two.
I agree with the consensus here: #1 is #1! My initial preference was the 2nd Place logo, but I see it as being more “traditional” or “Old School.” The First Place logo is more contemporary in design and colour, is more eye-catching, and will be more appealing and recognizable in the long run. Great choice!

I think it seems great. Those were all great designs. The winner was definitely a good choice. I thought it was very attention capturing.
A logo redesigning contest. I never thought of that before. Quite novel and a great concept.I am quite curious to take a look at the attempt to recreate BP Design logo. Personally I feel logo’s are better left unchanged. Unless there are more pressing reasons like people getting offended. I do not think recreating a logo will help better brand equity.
All of the logos were nice, but I bet if the work of making logos was given to me I would have definitely made a better one than these. Sorry if I am rude, but I think I am right.
LogoMyWay.com is a great site for logo design. I have used it for logo designing and found it totally reliable and an excellent talent pool is available there.

The logos are great and attractive. However, the third one looks professionally marvelous.
