New Video – How to Promote Your Business like P.T. Barnum
It’s been a while since my last Modeling the Masters video but I recently created a new video and would love your feedback on it. This time the video focuses on how you can promote your business like P.T. Barnum, one of the greatest promoters of all time.
Some of the key points I talk about in the video are:
- Action Item #1: Sell Something Unique
- Action Item #2: Promote, Promote, Promote
- Action Item #3: Showcase Yourself
You can also see the post I wrote about P.T. Barnum at the Telus blog.

I like this article so much because it has increased my knowledge.
Very good article and very informative with good key points.
This article is worth reading and very informative. It has taught me how to be successful in small business. A tag line is to promote the product and it should be unique in order to showcase it.
It’s all about the promoting our business. Great article, thanks!
Great article. I feel like I understand how to run my business better now. I really appreciate your help!
Great job, Evan. I really enjoyed your post and video. I look forward to more like this.
Great work, Evan. In a down economy such as this one, promotion and marketing are more critical than ever. During recessions, too many businesses cut expenses alphabetically (e.g., advertising), which is the opposite of what they should do. I thought you made an excellent point about the better product not necessarily leading to better sales. Sales and marketing has been, and always will be, more about perceived value than actual value. Keep up the good work.
Really, very useful information. Promoting is very important in business. I think this article is very good to show how important promotion is.
Very nice article, full of great information. Thank you for your article.
What a great resource!
Great video. My question is how to get people to make a purchase in this down economy. The only thing I feel I can do is to market a product that cost very little but will generate only a small profit.
Nice video! It has clear information and provides a nice connection to a past innovator, P.T. Barnum. Great job!
