Angel Group Investor - Funding Application Form

"The Toronto Angel Group is a division of the Toronto Venture Group which offers selected presentation opportunities to prescreened companies. In the case of the Angel Investment Dinner meetings, held 7 times per year, we offer qualified companies 10 minutes to present their deal to the TAG membership – an exclusive group of qualified sophisticated individual investors as defined by the Ontario Securities Commission.

Ideal candidates for this presentation opportunity are Canadian companies offering a sustainable advantage over both existing and emerging competition. Our focus is on companies headquartered within a two-hour drive of Toronto seeking a capital infusion under C$2 million. We are currently not accepting applications focused on investment funds, retail stores, publishing, professional or consulting services, real estate, entertainment (television/film/theater production, restaurants, athletic & recreational facilities, etc.), natural resources (agriculture & agribusiness, mining & mineral exploration, energy generation & oil/gas production, etc.).

There is no fee to apply for consideration and no fees to present. For those companies selected to present to the Toronto Angel Group and are successful in raising capital from Toronto Angel Group members, a 2% success fee will be levied at the time of closing.

The following is a brief list of questions that each applicant company is required to answer. Completed applications are due a minimum of one month prior to the event date. The purpose of this overview is to quickly provide an idea of which stage the company is in and to provide enough background information that we are able to determine whether to proceed to the next level of screening. The overviews of the companies selected to present will be distributed to the membership."
