Five Easy Ways to Increase Your Social Presence

We’ve all met those people in our lives who post one picture and get a thousand likes on each platform separately without batting an eye. It may seem like they haven’t put in any efforts into increasing their following to such a magnanimous extent but in reality, their actions - conscious or subconscious - are what really give them so much weight. It is true, that you cannot expect to have a following in tens of thousands without even lifting a finger yourself. There are many ways to make the social web notice your presence online, and most of them are not even difficult.

Post regularly

It should go without saying that if your posts appear once in a blue moon, people will eventually stop looking forward to them and move on to newer things. This is especially true nowadays as the social media focuses on showing popular and preference-based content to their audience than just mindlessly making them scroll through recently updated posts. So you must update your accounts every 3-4 days, if not every day.

Share new ideas

It is not possible to share unique content every day, but, if you make your profile monotonous by only posting mainstream things and absolutely nothing new then your followers would prefer to stick the original posters of the content and not you who is merely a share-wagon. These new ideas can include self-written poetry, artwork, jokes, anything as long as you have not copied it from another source.

Increase your following

There are so many ways to do this. Try first by applying the follow-back rule to yourself, as in follow your followers back. Also share other people’s posts often and then ask them to give a shout out to you and your posts as well. There are many other ways to get shout-outs from pages with an enormous following, like entering competitions hosted by them, or commenting on their posts often. There are ways to get automatic Instagram likes and other social media websites. Look those up as well and for a small fee, usually, you can get your account featured by social media giants.

Use different platforms

It cannot be stressed enough, how you must always be available on most social media platforms to be able to appeal to a wider audience. In the very least, join the most popular sites, like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. Posting your ideas on all these sites will enable more people to notice you and your following will boost.

Join communities

Almost all websites have some kinds of communities, whether they are available in the form of groups like on Facebook, or as simple communities without a label like on Instagram. If you want to ride solo, become a newbie trendsetter and then expect people to follow you then the chances of that happening are slim at best. Always interact with people in the business and understand how the community on that particular site functions.
