Solving conflicts by changing the game

Our existence is a given, Living however is an Art (Sri Sri Ravishankar)

Let me ask you-would you like to know how to create a more stress free and violent free world?

Would you like to know how to successfully reduce conflicts?

I have spend most of my life helping people solve conflicts – as a manager, a therapist, a life coach.

And I realized over the years that the secret of Peace is US – HOW we act personally and as a community.

We live in a world filled with conflict – conflicts in families, at work and between countries.

And we usually perceive conflicts as having 2 sides, but there is always a 3rd side and that 3rd side is a Part of US.

The role of our 3rd side is to help others and ourselves get back on track. But in order to be an effective 3rd side we must first learn how to step back, take a break and make some space to reflect. You may have observed, if you are too close to the problem it becomes impossible to solve it.

To change the game we need to change the frame

We ourselves first need to make the shift from NO to YES – to be open

The best way that I have found to activating the 3rd side is to serve a bigger vision, a higher purpose and then to get involved, to listen, to engage, to act. We are all part of a greater whole, it's good to keep that in mind.

When my partner and I first started working together we had much to learn about being peaceful and dealing with conflict. In fact at one stage we were unable to continue because we did not see eye to eye.

But we persisted. What kept us going was the knowledge and techniques we had learned in the varies Art of Living courses we had taken. You see, we had come to realize that we were serving a bigger vision. Live did no longer just revolve around our own little egos. Our bigger vision included generating more peace and productive cooperation.

Our 3rd side can help us in bringing people together to celebrate life in all it different shapes and forms and to support the vision for a more peaceful tomorrow.

To promote peace we need to be peace and to be peace we need to learn the Art of Living.

Let me share with you this quote from Vincent van Gogh from a letter to his brother Theo "And I must continue to follow the path I take now. If I do nothing, if I study nothing, if I cease searching, then, woe is me, I am lost. That is how I look at it - keep going, keep going come what may."

with my best wishes for your success,
