How to Write an Effective Advertisement

Many people these days have started to work from home for many different reasons. One of the things that I have noticed about these new entrepreneurs is that they do not succeed very often. In fact, around 97% of new entrepreneurs fail with in their first few years. One of the reasons they fail is because they are unable to market their businesses effectively. Any time we write advertisements, we are doing it in the hopes of making sales or driving traffic to our websites or company. The thing that we must understand about this though is that we are not all able to spark the interest in our products or services that is needed to survive. However, there are some easy points to remember in order to make our advertisements more effective.

First, I would suggest that you make the advertisements offer a promise of pleasure. Since most people are exceptionally pleasure seeking, this is a rather effective method to attracting customers. Show them the benefit that you can offer through your product or service.

Second, offer a way for your prospective customers to avoid pain. As you can imagine, most of your potential customers are looking to relieve or alleviate an ailment of some kind. An example of this is if you were promoting a product that is used to reduce cholesterol, you would want to talk to your prospective customer about avoiding heart attack or stroke.

Third, make your prospective customer feel as if they are ‘missing out' if they do not use your product or service. You need to express how wonderful an opportunity is being missed by not buying your product. Another way to consider this is to ask a question in your advertisement. One example could be Do you suffer from (problem here)? If your customer answers "yes," then the question either includes some or leaves others out. If you want to reach a larger audience then you could make the question broader.

My last suggestion to writing an effective article is to make your prospective customer curious. Don't give them every detail of your products or services. Leave a little to the imagination. Let the customer become intrigued enough to inquire with you about your product or service.

By utilizing some of these techniques while writing your advertisements, you will see your sales and customer interaction increase. Just remember to keep your advertisements very targeted or choose a specific audience. The more you use these tips, the better your ads will be.
