Marketing your MLM business online doesn't have to be a difficult process. In fact, it's an easy way to help you connect with your potential customers if you work on it consistently.

Although there are some easy ways to get short term traffic to your business, long term traffic is also necessary because you don't want to have to constantly market your business. Using long term traffic will ensure your site continues to receive traffic. Here are the best three strategies to get you started.

1. Search engine optimization

Your search engine optimization strategy doesn't have to be complicated. Make sure you use a good title, description, and tags in your header. Although these won't count much with the search engines, it will help you communicate your message to those who looking for the type of information you provide.

Write keyword optimized content, and use linking strategies within your site to link your content. A good content management system, like Wordpress, will help you to do this easily. Wordpress is also search engine friendly and ranks well within the search engines. It also gives you the added benefit of being able to promote your business in places you might not normally promote, like blog directories.

Choose the right keywords. There are tons of tools, both free and paid, to show you what searchers are searching for. Google Adwords keyword tool is a good example. Google offers this data freely available, and it's valuable because this is the data that Google Adwords users frequently use.

Learn the basics, and then use these strategies to get you started. Most site owners don't optimize their sites for the search engines, and then they don't understand why they don't get much traffic. The answer is simple: their sites aren't optimized.

2. Link building

Link building is a factor in page rank with Google. The higher the page rank you have, the more valuable your site is considered to be. This also allows you to connect with readers and customers by posting your site on other blogs using comments.

You should not make blog comments your only source of traffic though. Post your site on high traffic sites related to your business. There are plenty of directories, as well as social sites and bookmarking sites where you may do this.

3. Article writing

Of all the strategies I use to market my business, this one is definitely my favorite, and it is my favorite because it works. It not only allows me to connect with readers and customers, but it builds value into all my product offerings.

To get the most from your article writing efforts, write a good title. This is the first thing people see. It will make or break your article because it is what readers use to decide whether or not to read your article. Make an offer in your resource box. Give your readers a reason to click. Most of all, write good content. Short words, short sentences, and short paragraphs make your article easier to read.
