Contact Oprah Winfrey

Do you have a book that would be just perfect for Oprah’s Book Club and you want to tell her about it? Do you dream of sitting on that comfy chair next to the daytime queen and discussing all your problems with her? Or do you have a great story idea that you want to pitch to the show’s producers? If you do, you’re not alone. From authors who see an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show as their ticket to success to politicians who are trying to get the vote of her millions of viewers, the chance to contact Oprah Winfrey is becoming both fiercely competitive and prized.

When even David Letterman starts staging a very public campaign to be a guest on her television show, just how hard is it really to get a hold of the daytime talk show queen? It’s not – as long as you’ve got something worthwhile to tell her.

Before you try to reach her, you need to do your homework. Have you watched the shows to understand what the theme is for that year? Is your idea related to either the overall vision of the Oprah Winfrey Show or any of its specific topics? If you’re going up against the queen of daytime talk shows, you need to be well-prepared. Once you’ve done your research, if you’re still convinced that she needs to hear from you, read on.

There are a variety of different ways to contact Oprah Winfrey. First, contrary to popular belief, snail mail is still an effective form of communication. You can try to contact Oprah Winfrey via the Oprah Winfrey Show’s mailing address at: PO Box 909715, Chicago, Illinois 60690-9715. Alternatively, you can also send your comments to the Oprah Winfrey Show’s street address at: 110 N Carpenter St., Chicago, Illinois 60607-2146. If it’s the O Magazine you’re aiming for, write to: 300 W 57th Street, Floor 36, New York, New York 10019-3741.

If you’ve forgotten what it’s like to write an actual letter with pen and paper, fear not – the Oprah Winfrey Show has entered the 21st century. To reach her via email, log on to the website and scroll down to the “Email Us” option on the main menu. Enter in your contact information and your comments, click Submit and voila! You can also visit the Discussion Forms at and post a message for Oprah or her producers to read. Bear in mind that with either attempt, you are not guaranteed a personal response.

If writing isn’t for you, there is also the option to call her studio via telephone at (312) 633-1182, or (312) 591-9222 if it’s tickets you’re after. However, don’t expect Ms. Winfrey to pick up the phone herself. You are more likely to be weaved around a complex network of receptionists, or if you’re lucky an assistant producer or two.

In this day and age it has no doubt become quite the task to contact Oprah Winfrey and you may find yourself leaving a message or ten. But, rest assured that if whatever it is you have to say is worth saying, she will be the one contacting you.

This vast space we call our world is made complete with the sincere hearts of humble people like you; who rise to evoke positive energy, and to teach benevolence through a simple but profound word that sends care and love to even just one who might have lost hope. Oprah, many individuals regard you as an example; and I must say - Thank you for being a beacon of change; a graceful woman who has embarked without cause to be selfish; and ventured to teach many to trod new selfless paths. Good morning to you.

Can someone please tell me if Ms. Oprah still has her Book Club? If yes, where can I find submission information? I have a book that I would like to submit for review. I guarantee that this book will put a smile on her face, as well as offer Ms. Oprah and readers some food for thought. In fact, I can guarantee that they will be "All Shook Up". Thank you.

I love Oprah. I have watched her since she was competing with Donahue. Loved her fresh face. Loved her for her honesty.
Now, as I watch Super Soul Sunday, I find she is just as wonderful. Just one comment, however. Give your guests more time to talk. I love your take on your guests' purpose and teaching, but you sometimes take over. I love you.

Thank you so much Oprah, you've really helped validate my self absorbed melodrama martyr routine. We women can be as tired, disappointed and fake as we want to be because there's lots of us.
