Good morning Believe nation, today’s message is stop complaining over to you, Joyce Meyer.
♫ I wake up every morning ♫ Espresso here we go ♫ I wake up every morning
And I remember God telling me in the very, very beginning of our ministry, if you can not complain about where you go to do meetings, the day will come where you will be able to go anywhere you want to and hold a meeting. Well, that’s pretty much true, today.
“If you want to stay right where you’re at, just keep complaining about it and I can pretty much guarantee you that you’ll still be there this time next year.” – Joyce Meyer
But I had to go through a lot of rough places and difficult places. And I think a lot of people, now I want you to listen to me, a lot of people never get to where they want to be because they’ll never stop complaining about where they’re at.
I’m going to say it again, a lot of people will never get to where they want to be because they will never stop complaining about where they’re at.
The word complain means to remain or to stay overnight. So if you want to stay right where you’re at, just keep complaining about it and I can pretty much guarantee you that you’ll still be there this time next year.
Evan: Successful people don’t complain. They don’t. They don’t complain and we have, we have featured maybe the most successful people of anybody on YouTube, maybe on the internet, on this channel and one of the consistent messages I can speak to you with authority here, successful people don’t complain.
Whether you’re looking at entrepreneurs, inventors, actors, athletes, musicians, if you’ve reached the top, it’s not because you’re complaining. It’s because you’re doing something about it. Here’s what happens when you complain.
“Successful people don’t complain. They don’t.” – Evan Carmichael
Who are you complaining about? You’re complaining about your family, your friends, the government, blah, blah, blah, right? What happens is you’re advocating responsibility. When you’re complaining about someone or something else, you’re putting the blame over there, right? It’s not on you. It’s not your fault that you’re in this situation. It’s not your fault that this thing happened to you. It’s somebody else’s fault.
And as long as it’s somebody else’s fault, it’s them that needs to change. And as long as it’s them that need to change and not you, then nothing’s going to happen. You’re going to stay the same way that you are. You’re going to stay in the same position you are. You’re going to stay in the same financial situation that you’re at. You’re just going to stay the same. Where successful people, they see a challenge and they see an opportunity.
Instead of seeing that challenge and complaining about it, they do something about it. They take responsibility for the situation that they’re in, and say if I’m going to break free of this, I’m going to have to do something about it.
“Instead of seeing that challenge and complaining about it, they do something about it.” – Evan Carmichael
I’m going to have to change. It’s not my parents fault or anybody else, it’s me. If I want this situation to get better, I need to get better. You’re business is where it’s at, whether you start it or not, you’re business is where it’s at because of you.
Only because of you. And you can say, yes Evan, but, you know, my situation, I have a job and I have a mortgage, and I have a family, and you know, great.
So, what’s going to change? You’re going to wait for your boss to give you a raise. You’re going to wait for your, you know, your spouse to make more money?
You’re going to wait for the real estate market to get better?
What are you waiting for?
Do outside influences make a difference?
Absolutely. But successful people don’t rely on those things. I’m not waiting for the next election for me to hit it big on my thing. Even if you can only control a certain percentage of what happens, that’s where you should focus.
Because that’s what you can control. And stop wasting energy on other people and complaining and negativity. Successful people take responsibility for where they’re at, and they make a plan to start making changes.
If you do not improve yourself, your skills, your ability, your knowledge, your mindset, your environment, if you don’t make those changes to improve yourself, you’re going to be exactly where you are today, one year from now, five years from now, ten years from now.
“Stop wasting energy on other people and complaining and negativity. Successful people take responsibility for where they’re at, and they make a plan to start making changes.” – Evan Carmichael
If you adopt a complaining mindset, you’re situation is never going to change and it’s always going to be somebody else’s fault. So the next time you catch yourself complaining or you tell your friends, your spouse, your family, listen, you hear me complaining, I want you to call me out on it. Eat that. Learn from it. Get better. Look for the opportunity to improve yourself. Take responsibility. Stop complaining.
So the question I think today is, I’m curious believe nation, I’m curious, what did you use to complain about that you don’t anymore? That you took some responsibility and accountability for.

I’m curious, I want to hear your story. I think it can inspire others as well. Leave it down in comments below. I also want to give a quick shout out to James P. Bailey IV, thank you so much James for picking up a copy of my book, Your One Word, it really means a lot to me, man. I appreciate the support. I hope you’re enjoying your read.
Thank you guys again for watching. I believe in you. I hope you continue to believe in yourself and whatever your one word is. And I’ll see you again tomorrow morning for another shot of espresso.

Evan: Hey Believe nation, if you want some more inspiration to stop complaining, I think you’re going to enjoy these bonus clips.
How many of you have ever complained in your life? Yeah, you know? Here is what I learned about complaining, in order to complain, I have to have a reference point of something better than I want, that I’m not willing to risk creating.
Now let me explain that again. I have to have a reference point in my mind, of something I want that’s better than what I have that I’m not willing to risk creating, so what I do is complain about it instead.
See, if I was complaining about my wife, it would mean that I would have to believe that somewhere out there in the world, there’s a better woman than my wife. See, if every woman on the planet died, except my wife, do you think I would go to work the next day and complain about her?
No. She’s the only one. And I’d be going, hey, I got her, this is really cool, right? Did you ever hear anyone complain about gravity? Very rarely. You know gravity makes us all bend over. Did you ever see an old person walking down the street going, gravity, they have a little walker, I hate gravity.
“As you hear yourself complaining, I want you to stop and say okay, what would I rather have, remember the law of attraction always says, focus on what you want not what you don’t want.” – Jack Canfield
If it weren’t for gravity I wouldn’t be able to bend over like this. Gravity sucks. Now, have you ever heard an older person doing it? No, the reason they don’t complain about gravity is because there’s no alternative to it.
You know, gravity just is. So if someone’s complaining about something, it means they know there’s something they can do about it because we don’t complain about the things that we can’t change. So as soon as you hear yourself complaining, I want you to stop and say okay, what would I rather have, remember the law of attraction always says, focus on what you want not what you don’t want.
Cause we were talking about what you don’t want when you’re complaining and blaming, you’re focusing on that which you don’t want and you’re accelerating it’s expression out into the universe with those negative feelings. And yet we’ll spend a majority of our time complaining about so many things. And usually we complain about them to people who can’t do anything about it.
Another thing that you can do is never ever complain. When I see people complaining, I’m just like, what are you doing, like, your life is so short, are you really going to sit here complaining? Let me put this in perspective, okay? I’m 34, okay, I’m 34 now, in my 20’s I didn’t know that many people that died, okay?
“Don’t waste your time complaining, it’s a terrible, terrible idea, …….So basically what you want to do is like, never be negative, never complain.” – RSDTyler
As you start to hit 30, people start to die, okay? I had a friend that died last week, okay? People are just going to start dying. I’ve also almost died myself a couple of times. Who here in this room has almost died before. Put your hands up.
Look at that, look at that crowd. Now if that many people have almost died, let me be a little morbid and freak you out here, how many people weren’t here to put their hands up? There’s probably like little ghosts in here like I actually did die, right in this crowd, right now.
That is going to be you, okay? You are going to be dead soon enough. So don’t waste your time complaining. Don’t waste your time complaining, it’s a terrible, terrible idea, all right? So basically what you want to do is like, never be negative, never complain.
It breaks my heart, my friends like, live for Friday night. Like Monday morning is the worst. It’s just that a huge percentage of ones life, I can’t wrap my head around with the internet, this is not your grand pappy’s life. We’re on the internet.
You can make happen. You can build businesses or side hustles. I just don’t understand why people relegate into losing mentality into thinking they can’t. You can’t because you want to be on the bowling team or softball, play video games.
That’s why you can’t. There’s plenty of time to get done. The level of complaining is unacceptable. Look, what if I told you this was the last Monday morning of your life? What if I told you you would die this week?
“We’re living in a world where so much more opportunity.” – Gary Vaynerchuk
Would you complain about your crap job or that test that you don’t want to take? I doubt it. You’d go to much higher level thinking. Well that’s really what it takes. It takes understanding that if you’re not pumped right now. If you’re begrudging what you’re about to do, it you’re not looking forward, please recognize the world we’re living in.
We’re living in a world where so much more opportunity. This internet thing created way more opportunity for all of us, way more. I mean, look, you might not even be alive, but your mom and dad cold have had sex three minutes later and you wouldn’t even exist and you’re complaining. You could have ended up being a bus, a tree.
“I just don’t understand why people relegate into losing mentality into thinking they can’t.” – Gary Vaynerchuk
I just don’t get the mentality of being head down sad on a Monday morning. I’m going to make Monday morning my bitch. I’m going to make you Saturday, Monday morning. That’s what I want to do every morning and that’s what I want from you. Please, take a step back and think about how awesome it actually is and then, recognize that you can attack the world in a totally different way because you were lucky enough to be born during this era.
