Sergio Medrano - Biggest Success

Measuring success is tricky. I say so because it implies value judgments, and suggests that what is not successful is a failure. During my University years in Japan, I often felt like a failure, because it seemed like everybody else in my course was smarter, and had a better memory than me. It took me months to realize that even though I could not learn how to read and write Japanese as fast as some of my peers, my spoken skills were much better than anyone expected. It's all about the metrics one uses to measure success whether or not one feels like something worthwhile has been achieved or not.

In business as in personal life, the most important thing to remember for me is that when you have achieved a certain standard, there is still a lot more to do in order to improve it. I feel successful now that ScoreCuts has been operating for several months, creating three jobs and providing services and products that our customers find of value.

ScoreCuts system is based on a proven and successful model that has worked time and time again in the USA. My immediate future plans are to spend time with potential franchisees, and helping them locate ideal locations for their new ScoreCuts. Our training and operational systems are far more sophisticated than any of our competitors, and that will certainly help us secure the best locations for our customers. I see my franchise business as a box of tools. Our job is to provide our franchisees with the best set of tools available, and to train them on how to use them to their advantage.
