Max Kalles - Biggest Success

I consider my biggest success to date still being in business coming up to our one year anniversary next month.

We have been able to steadily grow and build our client base.

Learn from our mistakes, and have met numerous people who have helped us and we have helped in return.

One of the greatest feelings in business is when you get a call from a new prospect that was referred to you, and they already know you and want to deal with you because of the quality and service that you have provided for one of your customers.

In the future we plan to grow our business and client base and to become more of an expert in our field.

We are planning on holding seminars and workshops to help educate small and medium sized business owners on the power of the internet and how they can leverage it to grow their business.

Max Kalles - Starting The Business

I think I can remember back in high school when I began taking business courses (and avoiding science) deciding that one day I would own my own business.

I guess I have always known I would be an entrepreneur I just didn't know when or how.

In university I took a small business course but after much thought upon graduating, I decided to look for a corporate job.

I landed a job with WSI corporate headquarters and spent a little over a month working for them.

I spoke with my younger brother Lionel (the technology expert) on what WSI provided and he was really impressed.

He decided that it would be a great opportunity to go into business.

After hearing his excitement and thinking it over, I came to the conclusion that I was better suited to join him and together we'd be more likely to succeed.

The rest is history.

Max Kalles - Growing Up

I am the second oldest of four boys so to say that my house was like a zoo would be an understatement.

As a kid I played a lot of sports, mainly hockey, and that's where I developed my team skills and competitive edge.

I spent 12 summers at overnight camp and I will always cherish the memories and experiences that I had there.

I went to Carleton University and studied business specializing in international business.

One of the best decisions that I ever made was going abroad to Australia for my third year to study at University of South Australia in Adelaide.

This gave me the opportunity to see the world and other cultures and allowed me to appreciate what it is to be Canadian.

During school I spent a summer working for a direct sales company.

Working in sales taught me a lot because in business and in life it is all about selling.

If you cant sell yourself then you can't get a job or even a date.

If you can't sell your product or service and are unable to find someone who can, then you will not be in business very long.

Fauziah Dato Talib - Advice To Other Entrepreneurs

Think BIG!

Move swiftly but wisely, forward with your ideas....

Remember always to keep a healthy body, mind and soul - you cannot expect to be successful in one part of your life when another part is failing.

So keep up with any sports that suits you and your body and raise your level of energy to meet the challenges in life.

Keep your mind healthy by always being positive about life....as they say "life is too short......", treat everyone with the same respect you would expect for yourself - maintain the good karma in everything you do.

You will find that what good you put into your life will return twofold.

Fauziah Dato Talib - Biggest Success

My biggest success to date has been being able to do things in business that I am passionate about and enjoy, and succeeding in making it profitable whilst having the ability to contribute back into the community.

I am currently expanding the business further and am venturing into new territories, most especially in finance, technology, and real estate management.

I am in the process of acquiring certifications that will support these new ventures whilst again contributing to helping others to develop themselves as an entrepreneur.

My future plans are to develop more of the same and always maintaining a balance with a holistic approach to any business venture.

Fauziah Dato Talib - Starting The Business

I loved the good life, spending money that, of course, at that time I did not have and getting into debt at an early age.

Thus started my first external experience on the art of negotiation I made an appointment with the Bank Manager and tried to negotiate my payment terms by offering to work for the bank.

Suffice to say that was not an acceptable proposal.

Failing that, I started to try and find many ways to complement my meagre student allowance to pay my debts at the same time.

This led me to rolling my sleeves up and getting my hands dirty- working with Thorn Ericsson as a data base entry manager during the day to serving at restaurants at nights, working as a paralegal administrator with British Coal Enterprise to a sales assistant at a fashion house Joseph Tricot.

All this whilst I was still studying in England. This was one of many experiences I of what it was like to earn a living.

When I graduated I landed my very first job in the public sector which involved travelling this was where I saw several entrepreneurial opportunities in the countries I travelled to.

Whilst I worked in the public sector, I started selling clothes and shoes that was bought from the countries I travelled to and bringing them home and selling them to first family and friends and thereafter setting up network of sales people on commission to distribute further.

I raked in 300% profit on my sales for this first venture.
